Wakefield Forest Elementary School (Fairfax County Public Schools)
In collaboration with Rebecca Bostick Architect, Inc., Strickler Associates delivered the mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection design for a 103,612 SF renovation and addition project. Designed to accommodate up to 800 students, the facility incorporates high-efficiency LED lighting, Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) systems, and Dedicated Outdoor Air Units (DOAS) with Energy Recovery Ventilators (ERVs)—all contributing to a modern, energy-conscious learning environment.
Louise Archer Elementary School (Fairfax County Public Schools)
The 104,148 SF renovation and addition at Louise Archer Elementary School was designed in collaboration with Architecture Inc. and reflects a strong commitment to sustainability by targeting CHPS (Collaborative for High Performance Schools) compliance. Strickler Associates engineered systems that aligned with CHPS criteria, integrating Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) systems, Dedicated Outdoor Air Systems (DOAS) with Energy Recovery Ventilators (ERVs), and high-efficiency LED lighting with smart controls. These innovations support enhanced indoor air quality, energy efficiency, and occupant comfort, while contributing to a healthier, high-performing educational environment.
